It is important to note and consider the fact that pain has many “strengths” that can lead to serious musculoskeletal deconditioning and dysfunction depending on its acuity with the net result of a decreased quality of life.



This must be considered with all clients when discussing the net result of pain. Knowing the onset of pain leads to a better understanding of the client in terms of his recent activity level. The need to increase a client’s activity level to his baseline abilities is the basis to returning to a better quality of life.
